From the designers idea

to a real Company

The first idea of the modular praline was born in 2007 from the intuition of the designers Piergiorgio Carozza and Gabriele Cossu. It is presented for the first time, in an experimental version, at the end of 2008 in Turin.

In 2014, after several years of research, development and testing, it is finally marketed and proposed to the public as the first modular praline in the world

2015 Honorable Mention “Compasso d'Oro International Award”

In 2015 Shockino Mix Experience was selected in the 2015 ADI Design Index and in the same year it also obtained the Honorable Mention for “Compasso d’Oro International prize” in Food-Design category.

Tastings events around Italy

In these years Shockino has been protagonist of events and tastings events throughout Italy, starting from EXPO2015, Salone del Mobile and Salon du Chocolat in Milan, Cibus Parma and Vinitaly in Verona.

November 2016 - Shockino S.r.l.

From November 2016 Shockino is an Italian company, based in Campobasso, which provides the commitment of the designers and new investors, with great experience in the food packaging and food technology sectors.

2017 - Shockino-Lab is born

2017 sees instead the birth of the Shockino-Lab, our artisan laboratory located in Ferrazzano on the outskirts of Campobasso in the splendid Molise countryside.

Here we select the best ingredients and take care of the preparation of our chocolate and ganaches. We use jams, jams and jellies and grains,  making each single praline by hand. We package and ship worldwide, offering a Made in Italy product that is a synthesis of the tradition of Italian food and design.

For this, in recent years, we have studied and deepened the operational and practical activities, taking advantage of the collaboration of a “Master Pastry Chef”, involved in the project to improve and maintain the quality standards.

Mix Experience

2015 Edition –  Design for Food and Nutrition:

The first edition of the ADI Compasso d’Oro International Award, dedicated to the theme ‘Design for Food and Nutrition’, ended on 2 December 2015.

The jury attributed 16 Honorable Mentions to as many products, selecting 91 objects from all over the world. The jurors, selected by ADI, were: designers Ron Arad and Denis Santachiara (president), Daniela Piscitelli, journalist Aurelio Magistà and professors Livia Pomodoro and Paolo Sorcinelli.

Shockino Mix Experience is “Honorable Mention” in the Food-Design category.
